When and where is the conference taking place?
The 5th Annual National Black Men in Leadership Conference will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at Huntington Place, 1 Washington Blvd., Detroit, MI 48226.
What is the theme this year?
The 2026 theme is “Purpose-Driven Leadership – Lead. Serve. Elevate.”, the conference explores the power and responsibility of leading with purpose. It calls Men to lead with intention, serve with impact, and elevate their communities, families, careers, and future generations. Through this lens, the conference examines how purpose can serve as a guiding force for decision-making, influence, and long-term transformation across all spheres of leadership.
Participation & Inclusion
Is the event only for Black men?
No — the National Black Men in Leadership Conference is open to everyone. While the conference centers the experiences and leadership of Black men, we welcome and encourage allies of all backgrounds to attend, learn, and engage.
Who typically attends the conference?
Executives, emerging leaders, educators, attorneys, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, healthcare leaders, nonprofit professionals, students, community advocates, and allies from diverse industries who are committed to leadership, innovation, professional growth, and creating meaningful impact.

How do I register for the conference?
Please visit the registration page. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete.
Can I register on-site?
On-site registration will not be available. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
What time does check-in open?
Registration and check-in open at 8:00 a.m. in the pre-function lobby of Grand Ballroom A.

Where can I view the full agenda?
The agenda will be available on our website and included in your conference packet at check-in.
Do I need to pre-register for breakout sessions?
No, sessions are open seating.
Venue & Parking
Is parking available?
Yes. On-site parking is available at Huntington Place Parking and nearby garages. We recommend arriving early.
Is the venue accessible by public transportation?
Yes. Huntington Place is conveniently located near multiple Detroit transit lines.
Meals & Refreshments
Are meals provided?
Yes. Complimentary breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided for all registered attendees.
Are dietary accommodations available?
Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available upon request during registration.
Networking & After-the-Conference Reception
Will there be networking opportunities?
Absolutely! Networking is a key part of the conference experience.
Is there an event after the conference?
Yes — join us for the After-the-Conference Reception immediately following the day’s sessions. This casual mixer brings together speakers, sponsors, and attendees. Light hors d’oeuvres and entertainment provided. Note: The reception requires an additional ticket purchase, and a conference registration is required to attend.

Photo & Video Release
Will photos or videos be taken during the event?
Yes. By attending the National Black Men in Leadership Conference, you grant permission to The Unity Collaborative and its partners to photograph, film, and record your participation for promotional, educational, and archival purposes across print, digital, and social media platforms.
Special Accommodations
What if I need special accommodations?
We are committed to providing accessible and inclusive experiences. If you require accommodations, please let us know as soon as possible—preferably at least 30 days in advance—to allow us adequate time to make arrangements.
